[LittleSun](https://littlesun.org/) is a project/product founded by [Olafur Eliasson](https://solarpunkarchitecture.org/t/olaruf-eliasson/69), which addresses the lack of electricity and finances in poor countries by providing them with autonomous solar charged lights at low cost. The costs are covered by westerners like me, who buy the same lights for around 30€ as design objects, status symbols, sentiments, indulgencies or a mix of those.

The inpiring part for me is in using symbolic capital and influence of the artist for humanitarian purposes - just like [Tomás Saraceno](https://solarpunkarchitecture.org/t/tomas-saraceno-radical-imagination-for-activism/23) does on the issue of lithium mining.
