All I Want is Your Shadow. Tinfoil fashion workshop

After an impressive effect of making an improvised tinfoil hat, I decided to play a bit more on the theme and organised a little workshop to make a few more, with upcoming Solar Laboratory in mind.

Slogan and visual are inspired by mysterious, uncanny and misunderstood desert creatures called solifugae (also known as “camel spiders”), which are harmless nocturnals. When disturbed in daylight, they desperately seek shadows, and shadows of the human also help. This behaviour generated multiple urban legends, especially during US invasion of Iraq, about large aggressive monsters who chase and attack people.

A few fellows from PhD studies showed up, and we had some fun for a couple of hours. Have a look.

M.I.A launched a tinfoil clothing line.. Of course advertising leans on conspiratorial reasons (not sure how much irony is there) - but I wonder, if someone will recognize their cooling efect.
