The imperative to reuse materials in new buildings is gaining recognition somewhat slowly. I remembered this project by S+PS in relation to Jacob’s new essay on disassembling McMansions. One beautiful part here is that the house is clearly built in the spirit of high modernism architecture, yet without dissonance with integration of old reused elements. I find this unconflicting approach really beautiful.
